There are many calm water area suitable for swimming and kayaking around Sen Islet, Cu islet, Monkey islet. Stalactite caves such as Ham Rong, Do Cung or beaches at Tung Bear Cave, Cat Dua beach are some of other natural attraction in the area.
Lan Ha Bay has 139 beautiful and clean beaches with white sand. Gentle waves and calm sea make this a perfect place for swimming. Underneath the blue water, colorful coral reefs area such as Van Boi, Van Ha is worth a diving adventure. Ba Trai Dao Islet

Ba Trai Dao Islet is a famous tourist attraction with three nice fairy beaches, romantic landscape.Ba Trai Dao Islet (Three Peaches Islet) lays near Cat Ba Island, in the territory of Halong City, Quang Ninh Province. It is far 22 kilometers from Bai Chay Tourist Wharf to the Southeast. By speedboat, it takes about an hour from Bai Chay Tourist Wharf.
The islet is a group of three small mountains which look like three peaches from a far. The average height of three mountains is 23 meters. It’s featured with Ba Trai Dao Beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches on Halong Bay. The beach has the shape of a bow embracing the islet. However, tourists just can swim at the beach in about 2 – 3 hours a day because the tide rises and engulfs the beach.

The local residents of Halong Bay now still tell the old story about the origination of Ba Trai Dao Islet. Story has it that the youngest daughter of the God fell in love with a poor fisherman.  As she wanted him to be immortal to be with her forever, she stole three peaches in the heaven for him. The God noticed and was very angry. He turned three peaches into three stone mountains on the sea. Therefore, the locals named the islet as “Ba Trai Dao” Islet (Three Peaches Islet).

Tra Co Beach

With the extensive beach of smooth white sand and blue transparent water, Tra Co Beach is the border of a natural island which is created by the impact of waves and sea stream onto the shore.
Tra Co is located on the far northeast of the country, in Quang Ninh Province, bordering China, and is 9km away from Mong Cai Town. It is 206 kilometers from Hai Phong City to Mong Cai Town. However, some other prefer to depart from Hon Gai (Ha Long) for a shorter distance of 132 kilometers.
On the way to the beach, tourists may notice crowded villages living mostly on fishing activities on both sides of the way, a number of high sand dunes of 3-4 meters, stretching rows of casuarinaceae preventing sand storm for the local residents, and mangroves from a far.
Tra Co Beach stretches over 17 kilometers long from Got Tip in the North to Ngoc Tip in the South. Thanks to the huge size, the beach is capable of accommodating a large number of tourists at a time. Thanks to a far distance from the city and industrial zones, Tra Co atmosphere is cool and fresh that bears solitudes and primitive patterns. The year’s average temperature of Tra Co is 22.7 Degree Celsius. There are four months when it goes below 20 Celsius degree (December to March), and the .highest temperature recorded is 28 Celsius degree only in the summer.

Thien Cung Cave

It is situated on the south-west side the bay, 4 km from the wharf outside of Halong City. The way to Thien Cung is a perilous one, covered on both sides by thick forest. After entering a narrow gate, the grotto’s 130-meter-long girth opens up. Getting in we are astonished by the very animated and splendid beauty which is made from stalactite. On the east wall of the grotto, there is a grandiose and imposing picture with characters of heroic tales.
Going out of the Thien Cung Grotto, we have a sensation of just having seen a unique, meticulous, interesting fine-art museum which is made by nature, but the pictures are made out of the imagination, ability and intellect of man.
This grotto is recently discovered, one of the most beautiful grottoes in Halong Bay.
Legend has it that a beautiful young lady named May (cloud), caught the eye of the Dragon Prince and he fell in love with her. They were betrothed, and their wedding lasted seven days and seven nights in the very centre of the grotto.

In honour of the wedding, small dragons flew about through the stalactites and stalagmites, elephants danced together happily, snakes twined themselves around trees and two stone lions danced with their manes flowing in the wind. A large elephant, smartly dressed, waited for the bride and the groom. The genies of the south and north stars also came to attend the banquet, and the atmosphere was definitely animated and lively. All these scenes have been seemingly fossilized in the grotto.
In the centre are four large pillars supporting the “roof of heaven.” From the base to the top, many strange images seem to live in the stone: birds, fish, flowers and even scenes of human life. On the north wall of the grotto a group of fairies seem to dance and sing in honour of the wedding. Under the immeasurably high roof, stalactites make a natural stone curtain. Somewhere there is the sound of a drum beating, but it is actually just the noise made by the wind blowing through stone.

Arriving at the last partition of the grotto, a natural gushing stream of water babbles throughout the year. Here are three small ponds of clear water. Legend has it, that this was where May bathed her 100 children, bringing them up wisely and happily into adolescence. One path meanders out of the grotto; it was the way May, together with 50 of her children, took to harvest new lands. The 50 remaining children, together with their father, were left to build the native land. Left behind by the mother was the natural stream described above.

Halong Majestic Cruise 3 Days 2 Nights – Cat Ba Island

DAY 01: HANOI – HA LONG (L, D)

Vietnamtypicaltour's car and guide will meet you at your hotel at 7.45 am, then we will depart to Ha Long City – the capital city of Quang Ninh Province. It is located at about 160 km northeast of Hanoi. We will stop halfway for a short break at 10.00 am. We will arrive in Bai Chay Harbor at 12.00 am, then transfer to Halong Majestic Cruise and enjoy your welcome drinks. Cruising will begin around Ha Long Bay while your lunch is being served with the deluxe Vietnamese Set Menu. After lunch, the tender will take us to visit Sung Sot Cave (or Amazing Cave) – one of the largest and the most beautiful caves in Ha Long Bay. It is regarded as an Opera theater on Ha Long Bay with 3 main chambers covering an area of over 10,000 sq.m. Each chamber has its own beauty which surprises tourists.

For the rest of the afternoon, you can take time to go kayaking and swimming, or just relaxing on the boat. You can also join some interesting activities in the evening such as singing karaoke or squid fishing, after dinner time.

DAY 02: HA LONG – LAN HA (B, L, D)

After having breakfast, we will transfer to another boat for exploration in Cat Ba Island. We can go trekking in Cat Ba National Park or biking around the beautiful forest roads. In the afternoon, we will go kayaking around Lan Ha Bay, with a plenty of time for swimming on beach and visiting Monkey Island. Regardless of its small or big size, the islands here are covered by the green color of trees or vegetation. Limestone mountains take the large proportion in the Lan Ha bay’s islands, cutting the sea surface into smaller bays. You can go kayaking, swimming and snorkeling in the pristine natural beach lapped by the turquoise water or sunbathe on one of the natural secluded beaches.

Your dinner will be served at 7.00 pm after check-in registration at your hotel, following by free time for your leisure in Cat Ba Town.

Gray Line cruise 2 days 1 nights

Day 1: Hanoi - Tuan Chau Island - Gray Line Halong Cruise (L,D)

08:00: Depart from Hanoi to the picturesque Halong Bay
12:15: Embarkation at Tuan Chau Marina pier (Tuan Chau island, Halong city)
12:30: Transfer by tender to the Gray Line Halong cruise boat – welcome drink. Cruise briefings and check in your cabins.
13:00: Enjoy set lunch. Cruise to Vung Vieng Floating Fishing village
14:30: Arrive and visit the Vung Vieng fishing village by local rowing boats. During the trip, you will meet see the how the locals live. You will pass through floating houses of 65 families, a floating school & floating information centre.
15:45: Back to the cruise and continue cruising to Drum cave.
16:45 - 17:30: Enjoy swimming around the cruise, relaxing on the sundeck for fantastic views and sunset photo opportunities.
18:30: Cooking demonstration will be on the sundeck. Let's see how to make the fresh/fried spring rolls and mix fish-sauce.
19:30: Luxury buffet dinner is served with a variety of Vietnamese
21:00: Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 21:00. Board and card games are available or join the squid fishing on boat with our crew. You can enjoy the squid with our cook chef after catching them.

22:00: Overnight anchorage near Drum cave area.
06:30: Tai Chi class on the Sundeck.

Day 2: Halong - Hanoi (B,L)
 
07:30: Coffee, tea and Bakeries on board
08:30: Visit Amazing cave discovered by the French in 1901 and opened to tourists since 1936 and symbol for geology value of Halong.
09:30: Check out of cabin and relax on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery as we approach the pier
10:00: Farewell Buffet brunch
11:30: Disembarkation at Tuan Chau Marina. Return to Hanoi.
15:45: Arrive in Hanoi. End of services.
